Board of County Commissioners issued the following announcement on Mar. 2.

A public hearing will be held on Mar. 15, 2022, at the hour of 1:30 p.m. to be held in the Commissioner’s Chambers in the Klickitat County Services Building located at 115 W Court, Room 200, Goldendale Washington to consider a weed assessment increase from $6.00 to $12.00 for non-forest lands, and from $.60 to $1.20 for forest lands to be levied against landowners located within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Klickitat County Noxious Weed Board for the purpose of noxious weed control to limit the economic loss and adverse effects to Klickitat County’s agricultural, natural, and human resources due to the presence and spread of noxious weeds; and to allow any interested taxpayer to appear and be heard for or against said weed assessment increase.
