In the first quarter of 2026, Good Samaritan Health Care Center was listed under the ownership of Board Facilities, LLC and Marvin Beddoe, based on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) data.

The facility operates as a for-profit nursing home.

For this period, the facility earned an overall CMS rating of five, surpassing the Washington state average of 3.3 for nursing homes. CMS bases these ratings on performance in health inspections, staffing adequacy, and the quality of resident care.

The records show that Good Samaritan Health Care Center served an average of 89.8 residents daily in the first quarter of 2026, with a total of 105 beds available. The facility is not affiliated with a hospital.

The nursing home reported no fines or penalties during the first quarter of 2026.

There were seven for-profit nursing facilities in Yakima County, Washington, during this timeframe.

Estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau show a growing older adult population while the numbers of younger Americans decline. Americans age 65 and older increased by 13% between 2020 and 2024, while those under 18 decreased by 1.7%. The growth of the older adult population has been notable over the past century, expanding from 4.9 million in 1920 to over 61 million in 2024.

A study published in 2021 estimates that close to half of people in this age group, roughly 28 million individuals, will likely need long-term services or support. It further suggests that over one-third may require care in a nursing facility at some point.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education group. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
