Jennifer Serne shared insights into her unexpected path from aspiring filmmaker to associate professor specializing in occupational safety at Central Washington University. She discussed overcoming impostor syndrome while becoming recognized as an expert speaker and educator dedicated to supporting students’ growth.
Rachel Kirk grew up surrounded by educators but followed her own path into art before embracing teaching herself. Now an associate dean at Central Washington University, she shares how family legacy shaped her career.
Central Washington University Teach STEM majors visited West Valley Innovation Center in Yakima as part of their capstone course. Students observed project-based learning methods led by alumna Kendra Bourne and plan on applying these approaches when teaching.
