Rep. Dan Newhouse, who represents Washington’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several national issues on his social media account this week, focusing on federal land regulations, justice for victims of Jeffrey Epstein, and energy policy.

On November 17, 2025, Newhouse expressed support for a proposal affecting farmers and landowners: “Thank you @epaleezeldin for putting the rights of farmers and landowners over D.C. bureaucracy. The Biden admin tried to regulate every stream, puddle, and ditch, but this proposal is grounded in common sense and keeps the federal government off private land.”

The following day, November 18, he commented on the ongoing debate surrounding the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein: “While Jeffrey Epstein is dead, the fact remains that his victims were trafficked, their innocence exploited, and they deserve justice for the heinous crimes committed by this horrible man. The entirety of the debate around releasing the Epstein files has been centered around one”

On November 19, Newhouse reported on recent legislative action in the House: “The House just voted to reverse three Biden-era anti-energy regulations. As Chairman Emeritus of the @westerncaucus, I know firsthand how critical energy production on federal lands is to establishing American energy dominance.”

Dan Newhouse has served as a member of Congress since 2015 after succeeding Doc Hastings. He previously held office in the Washington House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Sunnyside, Washington in 1955 and currently residing there at age 67, Newhouse graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977.
