Rep. Dan Newhouse, who represents Washington’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted legislative and community activities through a series of posts on social media.
On July 30, 2025, Newhouse posted about federal support for agriculture in his state: “H.R. 1 delivers for farm country, and Washington state will see billions of dollars in investments to support our farmers, research, and market expansion.”
The following evening, he shared a moment with his team at a local baseball game: “Enjoying an evening watching the Tri-City Dust Devils with my district and D.C. staff!” This post was made on July 31, 2025.
On August 1, 2025, Newhouse addressed federal appointments and wildlife management policy: “Congrats to Brian Nesvik on being confirmed as Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. I look forward to working closely with him to ensure the federal government does not relocate grizzly bears to the North Cascades so we can protect our farmers and livestock.”
Dan Newhouse has served as the representative for Washington’s 4th District since replacing Doc Hastings in 2015. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Washington House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Sunnyside, Washington in 1955, Newhouse continues to reside there and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington State University.
