U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse, who serves Washington’s 4th district in Congress, has recently addressed several policy issues and highlighted local stories through a series of posts on his social media account.

On January 13, 2026, Newhouse shared the story of a high school athlete: “Ahnaleigh Wilson is a sophomore at Eastmont High in East Wenatchee, but recently she has become a fighter for keeping biological men out of girls’ sports. Dan Newhouse has represented Washington’s 4th congressional district since 2015 after succeeding Doc Hastings. Before joining Congress, he served in the Washington House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Sunnyside in 1955 and currently residing there, Newhouse graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977.
