March was an extremely difficult month for law enforcement across Washington, with three deaths occurring in the month.

The Yakima Police Department extends our heartfelt condolences to our brothers and sisters at the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, the Everett Police Department and the Edmonds Police Department. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Deputy Dom Calata, Officer Dan Rocha and Officer Tyler Steffins as well as with our law enforcement family and their communities who are suffering from these tragic losses.
