Road Closures Planned for Pride Festival, Parade

   In observance of Pride Month, the Yakima Pride Festival and Parade held in Yakima on Saturday, June 18th.

The City of Yakima is planning road closures related to the festival and parade:

  • Naches Avenue closed between Yakima Avenue and Martin  Luther King Jr. Boulevard during the festival from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm on  June 18th. In addition, Staff Sgt. Pendleton Way will be closed from Naches Avenue to 6th Street during the festival.
  • During the parade, Yakima Avenue included a rolling closure from 16th Avenue to Naches Avenue. Parade staging will be from 8:30 am to 9:45  am. The parade begins at 10:00 am and is anticipated to last until 11:00  am. 

Festival organizers anticipate about 150 participants and  approximately 2,500 spectators. It is estimated 25 vehicles will  participate in the parade.
