The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office recently welcomed three new deputies to our patrol and jail divisions

The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office recently welcomed three new deputies to our patrol and jail divisions.  Pictured left to right: Sheriff Clay Myers, Patrol Deputy Ryan Beck, Jail Deputy Cameron Garlock, and Jail Deputy Kenya Lorton.

Deputy Beck joins our patrol unit with previous  experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for American Medical Response (AMR).  He is looking forward to beginning his law enforcement career and will attend the basic law enforcement academy soon.

Cameron comes to KCSO from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department, where he spent five years as a Jail Deputy.  He graduated from Central Washington University in 2011 with a degree in Law and Justice.  He is excited to be back in Ellensburg and start his career in our jail.

Kenya was hired in June as an entry-level jail deputy and also has a Law and Justice degree from CWU.  She has always wanted to get into a public safety career because of her desire to help people and the opportunity to be challenged every day.  She will attend the corrections officer academy soon.

The Sheriff’s Office still has several open positions.  Anyone interested in a public safety career is encouraged to apply.
