Rep. Dan Newhouse, a U.S. Congressman representing Washington's 4th district since 2015, has been active on social media discussing his recent engagements and legislative priorities. Born in Sunnyside, Washington, Newhouse has served in various political roles since 2003 and is known for his advocacy on agricultural and environmental issues.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Newhouse attended the first House Agriculture Committee hearing of the 119th Congress. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with colleagues to deliver results for American farmers. "Today I attended the first @HouseAgGOP Committee hearing of the 119th Congress. I am excited to get to work with my colleagues and start delivering results for American Farmers."

Later that day, he participated in a discussion on Fox Nation's new season of "Underwriting the Enemy," where he examined national security concerns related to foreign ownership of American farmland by entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party. "I was proud to join @foxnation for their new season of 'Underwriting the Enemy' where we examined the threat the Chinese Communist Party poses by purchasing critical American farmland."

On February 12, Rep. Newhouse shared positive news from the Public Power Council regarding salmon returns in the Columbia River Basin for 2024. He highlighted record-breaking Sockeye Salmon returns as evidence that dams can coexist with successful fish populations. "The Public Power Council has reported excellent adult Salmon returns in the Columbia River Basin for 2024. Sockeye Salmon returns were record-breaking this year, including the endangered Lower Snake River Sockeye in particular."
