A section of 64th Avenue will be closed to traffic next Monday and Tuesday, August 1st and 2nd, for a street/stormwater project.

The project will close 64th Avenue between Tieton Drive  and Nob Hill Boulevard during scheduled work hours of 6:00 am to 4:00  pm. Detour routes will be in place. The work is

continuation of a  stormwater manhole repair project from earlier this week.

Drivers are reminded that the speed limit through all traffic-related work zones within the City of Yakima is 20 miles-per-hour.

During the project, traffic delays in the area are likely to occur.  Drivers should use alternate routes until project completion.

The schedule for this type of project is subject to change daily dependent on weather, equipment failure, and emergencies.

Contact Acting Street Maintenance Supervisor Jay Kendall at 509-576-6443 for more information about the project.
