City of Yakima issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
The City of Yakima invites the community to attend a kick-off meeting for its new Pedestrian Master Plan.
The meeting will be conducted by the City of Yakima Bike and Pedestrian Committee via Zoom at 5:30 pm on Thursday, November 5th. To participate, register as an attendee with your name and e-mail address at https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_9HbreLjdSPmX2C7eke-LwQ
Registered attendees will receive e-mailed instructions for joining the meeting online with your device or by calling in. Attendees will not be shown on video and will be muted upon entry. If you’d like to speak, please use the “raise your hand” button on your screen or press *9 on your phone if you called in.
“We encourage the public to join the Committee and City Planning Division as we launch the Pedestrian Master Plan to help make walking in Yakima safer and more convenient,” said Associate Planner Trevor Martin. “We’ll provide an overview of the Plan and guide you through two tools to share about challenges for pedestrians in the City of Yakima, as well as opportunities you see for improvement.”
