The CWU Office of the President would like to extend a hearty and jolly thank you to the Wildcat community for supporting the annual Holiday Gift Project!

This year’s community giving campaign served more than 200 youths in Kittitas County, and thanks to your generosity, these families will enjoy an even brighter holiday season. Gift requests ranged from diapers to Legos to clothes for playing in the snow to gift cards for teens to select gifts based their own specific wishes.

The biggest reason for the Holiday Gift Project’s success was that CWU staff, faculty, and student-athletes showed up! Every child was assigned before Thanksgiving, with even more sponsor interest than numbers allowed. But we couldn’t have done it alone. The success of this annual giving initiative had just as much to do with collaboration from the Washington State Department of Youth, Children, and Families, the Seedlings Center for Early Learning, and the CWU Early Childhood Learning Center.

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and resources everyone in our community has contributed to fulfill these requests from our neighbors. Thank you again, and we look forward to offering this beneficial opportunity to our community again next holiday season.
