Rep. Dan Newhouse from Washington's 4th Congressional District has commented on the House's approval of a budget resolution. This resolution paves the way for the reconciliation process in Congress. Newhouse sees this as an opportunity to address federal spending and inflation issues, alongside promoting a conservative agenda.

"Passing the budget resolution unlocks the next step in the reconciliation process allowing Congress to reduce federal spending, lower inflation, and advance a conservative agenda to get our country back on track," Newhouse stated. He acknowledged the challenge ahead, emphasizing the need for Republican unity, stating, "It will be no easy task, but Republicans must stay unified to deliver for the American people."

The resolution was narrowly approved in the House with a vote tally of 216 to 214.
