Today, Rep. Dan Newhouse from Washington's 4th District took the oath of office as a member of the House of Representatives for the 119th Congress. Following his swearing-in, he issued a statement expressing his commitment to serving Central Washington.

"I am honored to return to Congress representing the good people of Central Washington," said Rep. Newhouse.

He highlighted several priorities under the current Republican government, including securing the southern border, reducing prices, establishing American energy dominance, repealing regulations from the previous administration, and addressing threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party.

"We have a unique opportunity with a unified Republican government to secure the southern border, bring prices down, establish American energy dominance, repeal harmful regulations of the previous administration, and counter the growing threat of the Chinese Communist Party. I am committed to delivering for my fellow Central Washingtonians, and I am ready to continue to work on their behalf," he stated.
